About Me:

It seems, as I mature into my craft, I have gravitated to doing model portfolio shoots. I love working with the young girls trying to become models. I enjoy coaching and talking with them about the industry they are trying to break into. I also am fortunate enough to work with many signed models that are very experienced. I always feel that the "signed" models are the icing on my cake because they no longer need the coaching so we just have fun shooting.

Most pictures you see on my site are styled by me. I am not a professional stylist, but I love doing it. Many times the clothing and accessories are from my many model closets. I also either buy or rent from UNEEKBOTEEK to really refine the look I am going for.

Lately, I love doing beauty shots. I like to give each model portfolio session a gorgeous beauty shot. Having said that, I love fashion and I am always striving to be a little edgy, but usually just barely get there.

I am very much a perfectionist. I work until I get it right. During the shoot, I am always thinking about the shot and how to make it better. I am very giddy during a shoot because I love what I do and am usually running on an adrenaline high. The only time I get testy is when my lights are not doing what I want them to do.

My favorite place to shoot is outside using natural light manipulated by scrims, reflectors, and portable lighting. Nature provides such a beautiful background canvas.

I have a studio full of Hensel lighting equipment but mainly use it to shoot catalog, product, and now beauty shots. Studio lighting is beautiful, predictable, and so much easier than braving the forces of a windy day at the beach.

I always see something beautiful in everyone.

I am very good at airbrushing so your picture will always be polished.

No job is too small. I enjoy working with young companies that need assistance selecting models, hair and makeup professionals, a location, permits, etc. I find my past managerial experience very helpful when organizing photo shoots.

Thanks for stopping by.
